That means you can get help & support from other creators just like you. Here's some examples of different things you can get help with at meetups ...

  • strategies to grow your audience in highly competitive niches even as a smaller creator (less than 10k followers or subs)
  • unique & creative ways to hook attention in videos, turn casual viewers into subscribed fans, etc.
  • get brands to sponsor your content - how to reach out, get your first brand deal, dos and don'ts when signing contracts, etc.
  • how to sell your own products & merch, launch a course or membership, grow your email list, get paid to speak at events, etc.
  • mindset support - overcoming imposter syndrome, not letting negative comments bother you, staying focused on your goals, etc.
  • getting booked on podcasts in your niche, cross collaborating with other creators who have a similar audience, etc.
  • peer ideas & suggestions for whatever specific questions you might have at the moment.

What to Expect at Meetups ๐Ÿ“ฃ ๐Ÿง  ๐Ÿ“ˆ

You can think of the meetups as an anchor resource that's there for you whenever you feel stuck and need a few pointers, want to get exposed to new ideas, or just want to connect with other creators in the area.

You can expect things like name tags, icebreakers, peer breakout groups, creator Q&A circles, troubleshooting roundtables, and other interactive activities - all designed to help make meeting other creators feel as natural as possible.

The intention is to create a structure that gets people talking to each other & sharing ideas - as opposed to just standing around hoping others introduce themselves. We want to make it so that even if you're an introvert or a bit shy at first, you're still able to meet & connect with other creators through the structured group activities.

You can use the structure of the meetups to make new friends so that when you come across new obstacles in the future, you already know people you can reach out to for help.

***The first round of meetups begin summer 2026 on campus at the University of Texas - specific dates, times, and location details will be announced to approved members. For more info on how to attend, just keep scrolling.

Aside from the meetups, members also get access to the following perks & resources... check it out โฌ‡

Dinners & Socials ๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿง‰๐ŸŽณ๐Ÿฅ‚๐ŸŽ‰

Informal group outings for members to socialize & get to know each other outside of the meetups. Things like... going out to restaurants, bowling, Topgolf, editing hangouts, etc. Some of the best ideas & 'aha moments' happen when people are just hanging out and having a good time.

Peer Interest Groups ๐Ÿง˜โ€โ™€๏ธ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ ๐Ÿ“ท ๐Ÿ’ป ๐Ÿšดโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Peer breakout groups based on things like your skill level, creative interests, and long term goals as a creator. The more you have in common, the easier it is to get/give helpful suggestions and potentially even collaborate on future projects together.

Skool Group Access ๐Ÿ“ฑ๐Ÿ’ฌ

Stay connected between meetups with access to our Skool group. A Skool group works just like a Facebook group with member posts & comment threads. You can use it to ask questions, share ideas, and stay up to date on upcoming meetups & events. The Skool app is available free on iOS & android.

Eligibility Requirements โคต

To be eligible to attend meetups & events, you must meet the following requirements ...

1 - Our support group is for adults only. You must be at least 18 years of age to join.

- You must be creating content on YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram. You don't have to be active on all three, just one is fine.**

3 - You must follow the meetup rules (see the rules section for more details).

**We don't care how many subscribers or followers you currently have. Once you join, we'll help you get connected with other creators who are at your skill level.

Meetup Rules & Expectations โœ‹๐Ÿšซ

The meetups are a resource, not an obligation. That means there are no time commitments (you're free to come & go in a way that fits your schedule). That said, there are 3 rules you must comply with at meetups...

1 - Don't Kill the Vibe: Be a source of positivity, encourage your peers, and have fun. No politics, no harassment, no drama. Genuinely try to be helpful to others in the group to the best of your ability.

2 - Keep Your Input & Feedback Constructive: Friendly debate & difference of opinion are always welcome. Just make sure you keep it respectful. If you don't know how to disagree respectfully, this support group is not for you.

3 - Be Respectful of Host Venues: Always be considerate & respectful of the host venues for any of the meetups and or events. That includes venue staff. Never leave trash or damage property.

These rules will be enforced so if you do not agree with them, please do not attempt to join. Repeated and/or severe violations of any of these rules will result in getting banned from future meetups & events.

How to Attend Your First Meetup - Fill Out a New Member Application ๐Ÿ“

Test phase meetups begin summer 2026 on campus at the University of Texas. During the test phase, we'll be trying out different meetup formats & activities to see which work best. If you would like to participate in the test phase, simply fill out a New Member Application linked down below. Test phase participants get free access to meetups and resources even if there are ever membership dues in the future.

Before you fill out an application please keep in mind that to be eligible to join you must be an adult (18+ only) and creating content on at least one of the platforms mentioned (YouTube, TikTok, or Instagram).

Please be honest & accurate with your application responses. Your answers will help us understand your skill level, creative interests, and long-term goals so that we can put you in the appropriate peer breakout groups at meetups.

Once meetups are set to begin, we'll send out a welcome email with meetup details as well as info on how to access the member resources.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Due to the limited number of spots and physical space at meetups, you may be waitlisted. Spots are filled on a 'first come, first served' basis, assuming you meet all of the eligibility requirements and are a good fit for the group. If you get waitlisted, we'll send you an email when new spots open up and you are able to start attending meetups.

Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question? Check out the FAQs below, click the question to show the answer.

Where/when are the meetups?

Meetups will be held on campus at the University of Texas with specific dates, times, and location details to be announced to approved members. Make sure you fill out your New Member Application to get added to our 'new members' email list.

What happens at meetups?

The meetups are mainly composed of rotating peer group activities designed to help you: 1) meet other creators, 2) get feedback on whatever you need help with, and 3) become a smarter YouTube/TikTok/Instagram creator.

Can I bring my friends to the meetups?

They would need to fill out an application first. (We require an application to preserve the quality of the group and keep out any potential bad actors.) If you know someone who you think might be interested, you're welcome to share this page and invite them to fill out a New Member Application.

Why the waitlist? What happens if I get waitlisted?

The waitlist is to help limit the number of new attendees at meetups. (If there are too many new attendees, it might mess up the flow of meetups. We want there to be a good mix of new attendees and returning attendees.) If you get waitlisted, we'll send you an email when you can start attending meetups. Thanks for your patience & understanding.

How do I check my waitlist status?

You can send an email to info@creatorconnectaustin.com.

I really want to join but have a busy schedule. Are there any time commitments?

The meetups & events are a resource, not an obligation. Once your application gets approved, you're free to come and go in a way that fits your schedule.

I'm growing a podcast. Can I still join?

Yes, especially if you plan to put your podcast on YouTube (now the largest podcast platform). TikTok & Instagram Reels are also a great way to promote your podcast if you know how to use clips to generate curiosity.

Is there a minimum number of subscribers/followers I need to have to join?

No, we genuinely don't care about that. What's more important is that you're the type of person who is going to be a positive presence in the group and you have a genuine desire to learn & grow. Once you join, we'll help you get connected with other creators who are at your skill level.

Are the dinners & socials mandatory?

No. The dinners & socials are just an extra outlet for members to hang out & have fun, but there is no obligation to attend. Sometimes the dinners & socials will be planned, other times it will be impromptu. You can check the Skool group calendar section to stay up to date on upcoming events.

What is a "Skool group" exactly?

Skool is an iOS & android app built for community. When you join a Skool group it's just like joining a Facebook group but on the Skool app. You can use our private Skool group to ask questions & share ideas between meetups. It also has a calendar section so you can stay up to date on meetups & events.

Are there any member dues?

Not currently. There may be in the future as the group grows but if you join when it's free (during the test phase), it will always be free for you.

What are the "test phase meetups" exactly?

During the 'test phase' we'll be trying out different formats & meetup structures to see which work best. Test phase participants get free lifetime access to the group even if membership dues ever increase in the future.

Get Involved and Volunteer ๐Ÿ“ธ

If you'd like to rotate as an occasional volunteer at meetups (help check in attendees, take photos, help guide new attendees, etc.) fill out your NMA and [send us an email]. As a volunteer you get priority access, bypass the waitlist, and any future member dues/fees get waived.
